In addition we connected Grievance Facilitation Centres for all locations connected with our Advocates/Lawyers/Legal Advisors offices, keeps Public Grievance, Arbitation,Mediators,legal Advocacy ,and consultation in all legal support to marginal and unserved community. That's a truly virtual setup! A digital platform with no office space or head office required is an innovative and flexible approach. The NPGRC operates within a comprehensive legal framework that includes key legislative acts crucial to its mandate. The Human Rights Act empowers the commission to investigate complaints related to violations of fundamental rights. Under the Child Welfare Act, the NPGRC intervenes in matters concerning the welfare and rights of children, ensuring their protection and well-being. The Women's Rights Act enables the commission to address grievances related to gender-based discrimination, harassment, and violence. Additionally, the Environmental Protection Act grants authority to investigate complaints regarding environmental degradation, pollution, and non-compliance with environmental regulations. These acts provide the NPGRC with the legal tools necessary to address a wide array of issues affecting public and private sectors.

Our Process

The National Public Grievances Redressal Commission (NPGRC) receives complaints from the public via Gmail, registered letters, or its website. Upon receiving a petition, it is forwarded to the legal department for verification. After verification, the case is handed over to the investigation department. The investigation department selects efficient officers to form a team for the case and initiates the investigation. Once the investigation is concluded, a detailed report is prepared and verified.

For example, in cases concerning environmental issues, a thorough study is conducted under the relevant environmental laws, and a comprehensive report is drafted. This report is then submitted to the National Green Tribunal Court for further action.

If you have a grievance, you have the right to approach NPGRC. The Commission carefully assesses the merits of each case and endeavors to provide justice. NPGRC's dedicated team of advocates and investigators is always available to assist you. They are committed to serving the public, and you can reach out to them at any time for support and guidance.

Receipt of Complaint

NPGRC receives complaints through Gmail, registered letters, or its website.

Verification by Legal Department

Upon receiving a complaint, it is forwarded to the legal department for verification. This step ensures the complaint meets the criteria for further action.

Handover to Investigation Department

Once verified, the complaint is handed over to the investigation department.

Team Formation

The investigation department selects efficient officers to form a team dedicated to the case.

Initiation of Investigation

The team begins the investigation process, gathering evidence and conducting interviews as necessary.

Report Preparation

After completing the investigation, a detailed report is prepared. This report includes findings, analysis, and recommendations.

Sectional Analysis

Depending on the nature of the complaint (e.g., environmental issues), relevant legal sections and statutes are applied and analyzed during the investigation and report preparation.

Verification of Report

The report undergoes a verification process to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Submission to Court or Tribunal

If required, the report is submitted to the appropriate authority, such as the National Green Tribunal Court, for further legal action.

Grievance Resolution

NPGRC reviews the report and the merits of the case to facilitate resolution and justice for the complainant.

Support and Guidance

Throughout the process, NPGRC's team of advocates and investigators provide support and guidance to the complainant.

Public Engagement

NPGRC maintains open communication with the public, encouraging individuals to approach them with grievances and ensuring continuous accessibility and assistance.

The National Public Grievances & Redressal Commission (NPGRC) does have strong policies and procedures to follow. Key areas of case investigation including case management, responding to a case scene, interviewing, statement taking, gathering evidence, search warrants, and file presentation. The process of investigation or the investigative process is a series of activities or steps that include gathering evidence, analyzing information, developing and validating theories, forming reasonable grounds to believe, and finally arresting and charging a suspect.

When you decide to forward a case to NPGRC, email the details with request letter to complaint@npgrcommission.in and then the same will be forwarded into NPGRC Legal department. The forwarded case file from Legal department, once the stated issue is pertinent and the veracity of the facts should be confirmed, The following statements will be forwarded by NPGRC to the relevant ministries, departments, or commissions to obtain further actions.
